25th Warburton Film Festival Program

The program for the 25th Warburton Film Festival, which is on between the 13th and the 15th of June 2008, has been released.

Run by the Yarra Ranges Film Society, it is one of the longest running film festivals in Australia and is held at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre, which is located at 3409 Warburton Highway in Warburton Victoria.

The film screenings and schedule i have contain the following:

Friday 13th June

“Show us your Shorts” Program
10.30am - 12 noon : Films by students under 18 years of age
2.00pm - 3.30pm : Films by students over 18 years of age
5.00pm : Award Presentations
Note: While booking is essential for the above events, there is no actual charge to attend.

Warburton Film Festival
6.30pm : The 25th Warburton Filmfest Opening
7.30pm : Session 1 “Billy the Kid” (2007 - U.S. - documentary)

Saturday 14th June

10.00am : Session 2 “The Italian” (2005 - Russia - drama)
12 Noon : Lunch
1.00pm : Session 3 “The Jammed” (2007 - Australia - drama)
3.15pm : Session 4 “The History Boys” (2006 - UK - comedy/drama)
6.00pm : Gala Festival Dinner
8.00pm : Session 5 “Lucky Miles” (2007 - Australia - comedy)
10.00pm : Session 6 “The Gymnast” (2006 - US - drama)

Sunday 15th June

10.00am : Session 7 “Forbidden Lies” (2007 - Australia - drama)
12 Noon : Lunch
12.45pm : Session 8 “Once” (2006 - Ireland - music/drama)
2.30pm : Session 9 “Molokai - The Story of Father Damien” (1999 - Australia/Belgium)
